A Town Called Familiar: The Fundraiser Special

A Town Called Familiar is the upcoming debut feature film from award-winning indie filmmaker, Kyle Hosea.

A crime-thriller using elements of drama, horror, and westerns! Set in the desolate and crime-filled town of Familiar, apathetic drug dealer Ray finds himself inadvertently involved with a missing girl, the shady detective tasked with tracking her down, and the violent criminal responsible.

A Little About Our Team:

Me/Kyle Hosea (Director/Writer) - Kyle is a director, writer, and producer who has won multiple awards for all of his short films. He does everything he can to make himself a better filmmaker, including watching a movie and reading a script every single day. His favorite filmmakers and biggest influences include David Lynch, Martin Scorsese, William Friedkin, and Gus Van Sant.

Calvin Bowers (Producer/Cam Op/1st AC) - Calvin is an award-winning director, writer, and editor. From a young age, he's had a fascination with cameras and the captured image. This, combined with love for writing, makes him a natural storyteller and a sharp producer.

Katelyn Campbell (Producer/Set Decorator/2nd AC) - Katelyn is an award-winning filmmaker, set designer, editor, and colorist who is passionate about the visual aspects of storytelling. She has created and collaborated on short films, features, and music videos with the goal of using set design to create an immersive storytelling experience. She has held various positions on film sets and is always eager to assist in any way she can.

Julian Towns (1st Assistant Director) - Julian is a filmmaker with years of experience in Production Management as an Assistant Director and Producer on dozens of independent short and feature films. He specializes in scheduling, time management, and keeping people on task.

Anpelio Garcia (Director of Photography) - Anpelio is a talented and creative cinematographer who is known for his strong work ethic and friendly demeanor. He has worked as a director of photography on dozens of short and feature films.

Henry Rosenberger (Production Designer) - Henry is an award-winning production designer specializing in set building and decorating. Favoring more heavily stylized designs, Henry is inspired by the art direction of directors like David Lynch, Wes Anderson, and Stanley Kubrick.
